    Nice post.

Actually the stats aren’t as surprising if you consider your target audience. m.24.com is a News website which targets professionals people that are more likely to be wanting to view news on the go. Blackberry is the business mobile solution :)

It does surprise me that the E250 doesn’t feature on your top 10 list considering its market share in SA but I guess that just isn’t currently your target audience.

Interesting that Iphone/Andoird don’t feature do they get the mobile or the standard site?

    Hey David

Neither. Our iPhone and Android apps make direct use of our news feeds for a fast browsing experience. Coupled with custom built UIs results in much higher news consumption on these devices than via the mobile site. We do still have sections on the apps that browse to the mobile site e.g. Astro, Lotto, TV times etc, but will look to phase those out over time.

RIM have been hard at work in SA attracting “Consumer” (or “non-Business”) users with their great value Blackberry packages.

I was wondering about what percentage of your Iphone/Android user base uses the app instead of the mobile website?

I guess the because of the store type vibe for Apple/Android the cost(user time+effort) between website browsing is negligible.

Ye RIM has grown hugely in SA market over even the last 6months.

Is there anywhere we can preview this new m.24.com site?
